Well, I’ve been onboard the Grand Princess for just over 6 weeks now, and am having a great time. I didn’t get back into the Tour department, but I am doing Art part-time, as well as the front desk. As long as I get to learn something new and have a little break from the desk, all is well Maybe I’ll become an art expert while I’m at it.
The ports are similar to that of the Ruby, but I have been to some new ones. Gibraltar, as well as some ports in Spain that I didn’t get to see before. I’ve also been on some excellent tours. So far – a drive around the French Riviera, Pompeii, the World War 11 Tunnels (as well as the apes) in Gibraltar, and Gaudi’s La Pedrera. Have enjoyed some great pizza in Italy, and will soon get to see Croatia, hopefully Normandy and other fun ports before we head back to the Caribbean.
I have also met some wonderful people, the ones that you know you’ve made a connection with and will remain close over the many years to follow. Some I knew from the Ruby, but my close ones are all new, from places like Australia, Brazil, Germany, the UK and others. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some photos soon, but the internet on the ship is really rather slow, so I haven’t had the opportunity, and it would make it super expensive. Next time I have a chill day, I’ll bring my laptop ashore to post some new albums.
Talk soon!
xoxo
